The Bird Forced to Fly

This short poem expresses the story of an orphan who was abandoned by his family at a young age.

Born in a windswept nest
With barely any rest.
Then abandoned at seven,
With brothers three and eleven.

You were far from ready:
Your wings were not steady.
You begged to know why,
“Five’s too much, now bye.”
